Job Title: Energy Storage Engineer

At Edp Renewables, we are seeking an experienced Energy Storage Engineer to join our team. As an Energy Storage Engineer, you will play a key role in the planning, leading, and managing of engineering activities for energy storage projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with various departments to conduct technical planning and due diligence evaluations.
  • Determine optimal energy storage system sizing based on technology, costs, application, contract structure, and other applicable constraints.
  • Conceptually design utility-scale energy storage systems and renewable assets + storage that maximizes value for the lifetime cost of the system.
  • Support local Engineering teams in the preparation of Basic and Execution Projects.
  • Perform energy storage degradation and augmentation modeling for multiple technologies.
  • Coordinate and validate with other Technology Units the execution of specific key system studies for the integration of the BESS in the whole project.
  • Provide the Bill of Quantities and CAPEX estimation for the material execution of the projects.
Requirements:
  • Experience in energy storage engineering and project management.
  • Strong technical knowledge of energy storage systems and renewable energy technologies.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
