About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Loss Prevention Specialist to join our team at Amazon. As a key member of our Global Security Operations organization, you will play a critical role in protecting our operations network, assets, and brand reputation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support Business Continuity: Contribute to emergency and crisis planning to ensure the resilience of our business operations.
  • Identify and Mitigate Risks: Identify vulnerabilities and define appropriate mitigating actions to prevent loss, ensure compliance with legal and ethical standards, and protect our people and assets.
  • Coordinate Security Measures: Serve as a point of contact for local management and external parties to manage risk and coordinate security-related matters.
  • Ensure Compliance: Ensure compliance of assigned sites with Amazon global security standards.
A Day in the Life

As a Loss Prevention Specialist, you will work closely with our Security and Loss Prevention team to provide security as a service to our business customers across multiple business units. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting Physical Security Audits: Perform regular physical security audits to identify vulnerabilities and ensure compliance with security standards.
  • Investigating Incidents: Investigate policy violations, security-related incidents, and loss events to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Collaborating with Stakeholders: Interact with external security service providers, subject matter experts, and internal departments to ensure delivery of high-quality security services and a smooth customer experience.
Requirements
  • Relevant Education or Experience: Relevant security- or risk-related education or experience, such as security services, asset protection, loss prevention, risk management, inventory management, investigations, supply chain, auditing, compliance, or similar.
  • Language Skills: Advanced proficiency in written and verbal Spanish, and upper intermediate proficiency in written and verbal English.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and experience with physical security systems, investigation techniques, and/or management of contract security officers.
