We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Loss Prevention Specialist to join our Security and Loss Prevention team at Amazon. As a key member of our operations network, you will play a critical role in ensuring the security and integrity of our business operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support Business Continuity: Contribute to emergency and crisis planning for sites within your area of responsibility, ensuring the resilience of our business operations.
  • Identify and Mitigate Risks: Identify vulnerabilities and define appropriate mitigating actions to prevent loss, while ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards.
  • Coordinate Security Measures: Serve as a point of contact for local management and external parties, coordinating measures to manage risk on all security-related matters.
  • Ensure Compliance: Ensure compliance of assigned sites with Amazon global security standards.

A Day in the Life

As a Loss Prevention Specialist, you will work closely with our Security and Loss Prevention team to provide security as a service to business customers across multiple business units. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting Physical Security Audits: Perform regular physical security audits and investigate policy violations, security-related incidents, and loss events.
  • Collecting and Analyzing Data: Collect information by monitoring systems and tools, analyzing data reports, and conducting interviews to identify vulnerabilities in our processes.
  • Developing Mitigating Measures: Contribute to the development of mitigating measures to address identified vulnerabilities.
  • Maintaining Site Integrity: Audit and monitor the health status of our systems and maintain their functionality, jointly with subject matter experts and external suppliers.
  • Coordinating with External Parties: Interact with external security service providers to ensure delivery of high-quality security services and a smooth customer experience.
  • Providing Education and Awareness: Deliver loss prevention-related education and awareness programs to other teams and liaise with various stakeholders on policy and procedure across all management levels.
