Job Summary:
The Systems Integration Manager will act on behalf of the Chief Engineering Officer for all activities related to the program(s) under their responsibility. In this role, they will:
- Provide Technical Leadership: Be the source of all information required by the Domains both during the bidding phase to understand the scope of the work to be performed and the contractual obligations of any new program (requirements capture); and during the different program phases to be aware of the program status.
- Lead Proposal Development: Harmonize and challenge the inputs from the Domains to make sure that the proposal from the Chief Engineering Officer is optimum from the technical, financial and planning point of view.
- Coordinate Technical Activities: Provide technical coordination among the Domains within the Chief Engineering Officer, assuring consistency of the adopted technical solutions during the different program phases (design, development, certification, qualification, continued airworthiness).
- Monitor Program Progress: Follow up activities performed by the Domains within the Chief Engineering Officer to ensure the achievement of program objectives in terms of time, cost and quality.
- Ensure Documentation Quality: Monitor that documentation generated by the Chief Engineering Officer relative to their programs is coherent and consistent through the different domains and meets program objectives.
- Optimize Test Activities: Support the optimization of laboratory, ground and flight test activities in the program under scope.
- Manage Interfaces: Take care of the interfaces internal to the Chief Engineering Officer.
- Coordinate with Other CoCs: Take care of the interfaces to other Chief Engineering Officers through their respective CoC Integration Managers as necessary for the accomplishment of their CoC tasks.
- Lead OP Preparation: Lead the OP preparation process within the Chief Engineering Officer.
- Act as Point of Contact: Under the coordination of the Chief Engineer, act as the Point of Contact of the Chief Engineering Officer with any other stakeholders of the program both internal and external to engineering (Airworthiness, Product and Flight Safety, Programs, Production, Customer Services, Planning and Control, Finance, Commercial, etc.).
- Define Technical Activities: As an extension of the Chief Engineer within the Chief Engineering Officer, define with the Chief Engineer the extent of the technical activities to be performed for each program, their budget and plan.
- Represent the CoC: Represent the Chief Engineering Officer in the technical review meetings (as necessary).
- Report Progress: Report the progress of the program and the execution of the budget to the Chief Engineer.
- Support Decision-Making: Support the Chief Engineer in all decisions related to the technical perimeter under the responsibility of their CoC to facilitate harmonization of technical solutions and the program requirements and the product improvement.
- Support Product Strategy: Provide support to product strategy roadmap.
- Provide Technical Support: Provide technical supports to the Chief Engineer in the contacts with the Customer and/or the Airworthiness Authorities when requested.
- Support Risk Management: Support risk management process.
