Job Title: Power Generation Commissioning Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Commissioning Engineer to join our team at Cummins Inc. in Madrid, Spain.

About the Role:

This is a permanent contract position with a hybrid work model. The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Diagnosing and executing complex repairs to generators and components at customer sites.
  • Establishing and developing productive customer relations and ensuring prompt and efficient attention to customer needs.
  • Applying specialized tools and following documented procedures and policies to diagnose and complete complex repairs at customer sites.
  • Performing preventative maintenance activities as per documented schedules and standards on power generation products in the field.
  • Escalating unresolved issues to product specialists / Supervisor.
  • Coaching and developing technicians and/or apprentices and transferring knowledge and experience to others.
  • Completing required documentation, such as service worksheets, timesheets, warranty claims, quality documents via handwritten forms or business system input screens.
  • Maintaining service vehicle and tools for cleanliness and proper operation.
  • Ensuring adherence to all relevant Health Safety & Environmental policies, procedures and legislation and reporting any issues / incidents to site management and to their supervisor.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Vocational diploma from a relevant technical institution.
  • Apprentice Certified Power Generation/ Electrical Technician (Preferred).
  • Significant field service work experience.
  • Expert level knowledge of and/or experience with power generation products.
  • High Voltage / Low Voltage experience.
  • Experience providing technical advice and coaching to more junior technicians (preferred).
Additional Information:

This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

Locally valid driving permit required.

English Intermediate-high level.
