Job Overview
Are you passionate about technology and eager to gain hands-on experience in the field of Information Technology? Ecolab is seeking an IT Support Trainee to join our dynamic team, where you will play a crucial role in supporting our IT operations and enhancing our service delivery.

Position Details
As an IT Support Trainee at Ecolab, you will be based in our office and will collaborate with various IT and Global support teams. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop your technical skills while contributing to significant IT projects that benefit our internal stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Provide assistance to IT users under the guidance of experienced team members.
  • Utilize basic analytical skills to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, while also participating in root cause analysis.
  • Employ remote support tools to assist users both onsite and across borders.
  • Engage with IT users regularly, demonstrating strong customer service and communication abilities.
  • Collaborate with other departments on IT-related projects and initiatives.
  • Coordinate with vendors and partners for user support, including managing incidents with hardware maintenance providers.
  • Adhere to ITIL processes to ensure efficient incident management and accurate system documentation.

Key Duties

  • Conduct basic incident and problem analysis to resolve user requests.
  • Handle hardware and software change requests as assigned.
  • Provide implementation support as needed.
  • Attend user meetings to offer local assistance.
  • Work alongside IT and Global support teams to maintain high service availability for regional infrastructure.

Qualifications

  • A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proficient in English, both spoken and written; knowledge of Spanish or Italian is a plus.
  • Familiarity with MS Office 365 and Windows 11.
  • Ability to work independently and professionally in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and interpersonal abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • A dependable team player with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.

Technical Skills

  • Understanding of local client configurations, including SMS and SAP GUI.
  • Knowledge of VPN and remote access setup and maintenance.
  • Experience supporting Android mobile devices.
  • Familiarity with remote support software such as GoToAssist or Bomgar.
