Job Title: HSE Officer
Job Summary:
Hatch is seeking a highly skilled and experienced HSE Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing administrative support to the project management team, ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, and maintaining accurate records.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the superuser of the health and safety management system.
- Maintain databases and spreadsheets for safety statistics, audits, and inspections.
- Keep records of isolations and padlocks.
- Manage the vehicle register on site.
- Coordinate incident reports and investigations, including tracking actions and closures.
- Assign project incident numbers and ensure initial notifications are distributed correctly.
- Prepare and distribute incident reports.
- Verify labor hours for construction staff and publish weekly and monthly internal and external statistics.
- Assist with preparing and presenting training materials.
- Prepare and present site inductions.
- Take minutes and records of the morning meeting and monthly safety meeting.
- Manage and maintain health and safety information systems and training.
- Perform other general office tasks as required.
Requirements:
- Five years of experience as an administrator in the health, safety, and environment field.
- Understanding of the challenges of working in a remote location.
- High level of computer skills.
- High level of organizational skills.
- High level of interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work autonomously within a team environment.
