Job Title: Network Field Operations Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled Network Field Operations Technician to join our team in Madrid, Spain. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering field service at AT&T PoP's (Point of Presence) within Spain and Portugal.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Core HW Equipment installation (Cisco, Juniper, HP, Hitachi, Ciena, Patch Panels etc.) including cabling work either copper and fiber at customer's site
  • Problem determination and troubleshooting on Network Components
  • Customer provisioning (Access and Backbone circuits)
  • Network maintenance and planned work
  • Circuit measurements and testing
Requirements:
  • Fluent Spanish and solid English, oral and written
  • Knowledge of IP and Telecommunications standards
  • Understanding of Wide Area Network (WAN) and Local Area Network (LAN)
  • Wide knowledge of PTT / Carrier technologies and standards (Circuits E1-E3-T3 STMx, Ethernet and Ethernet over SDH/SONET etc.)
  • Knowledge of testing methodology and usage of test equipment for circuits certification
  • Fundamental knowledge of Coax Copper and Fiber cabling systems / adapters / interfaces and their installation & handling
  • Principles of electrical engineering
  • Excellent in Problem Solving
  • Car driver's license and active driver
  • Team player, well-organized, and self-motivated person, capable of taking initiatives and responsibilities
  • Strongly process- and customer-oriented with a high quality result-oriented approach
  • Availability to travel abroad if required
Working Conditions:
  • 8AM to 6PM CET, required flexibility in working hours for maintenance activities (including nights and weekends)
  • Ability to work on-call 7x24 hours if necessary
