About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join the AMZL Design & Innovation team as a Design & Innovation Manager. In this role, you will be instrumental in shaping and implementing AMZL's Building Design program, playing a key part in our strategic development efforts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and improve the Project Reviews Process, ensuring AMZL Design Standards and innovation initiatives are implemented across the full project lifecycle across the EU.
  • Lead Project Reviews by providing comprehensive technical feedback, design oversight, and quality assessment, ensuring alignment against standards while accounting for project-specific variables.
  • Spearhead design initiatives independently to drive innovative solutions and continuous improvement of design standards, adhering to regulatory compliance and aligning various stakeholders while contributing to internally established goals and KPIs.
  • Pro-actively engage internal and external teams responsible for project delivery in line with established budgets, timelines, and resources towards successful project completion within established parameters.
  • Engage in project feasibility studies and site analysis with a dual focus on realizing the potential of new site development and optimizing existing assets.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, or Civil, or country-equivalent.
  • Experience in project management, real estate development, architecture/design experience.
  • Flexibility to travel up to 15% across projects.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Demonstrated capability in the planning, design review & implementation, and project management/control of new structures & the enhancement of existing facility buildings.
  • Experience managing multi-disciplinary design incorporating industrial automation, robotics, or similar.
  • Demonstrated success in communicating project requirements to various audiences (e.g. senior management, peers, public officials, vendors, etc.).
  • Working knowledge of Building Information Modeling (BIM).
  • Demonstrated success in communicating project requirements to various audiences (e.g. senior management, peers, fire marshals, utility, public officials, vendors, etc.).
  • German, French, Polish, Arabic, Turkish, Afrikaans, and Zulu are considered preferred qualifications.
