About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Innovation and Pre-Award Project Manager to join our collaborative research team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing our research portfolio and transforming our technical roadmap into proposals for national and European funding programs.
Key Responsibilities- Develop a comprehensive understanding of the value chain and ecosystem in different domains relevant to our research strategy
- Build a thorough knowledge of national and European funding programs and calls relevant to our global research strategy
- Identify and participate in relevant innovation and research events
- Work with our head of collaborative research programs to define calls of interest and priorities
- Ensure compliance with rules, timelines, and participant portals for all calls of interest
- Maintain an annual plan of relevant calls available at national and European levels
- Attend networking events and identify valuable consortium partners
- Coordinate interactions within our company to prepare proposals and define scope, timeline, effort, budget, and skills needed
- Prepare proposals with the support of our stakeholders and in collaboration with involved partners
- Analyze feedback received on submitted proposals and manage the submission-to-signature workflow
- Prepare Grant Agreements and Consortium Agreements with our legal department
- Ensure smooth transition to Post-Award project teams
- Maintain budget projections for our business plan and update resource activity forecasts
- Document processes and methodologies for managing proposals from preparation to award decision
- Create and enrich a knowledge database to improve efficiency in preparing proposals
- Provide regular reports and updates on calls funnel to our management
- Master's degree in science or a relevant field
- 5+ years of project management experience in international or multi-cultural contexts, including experience with public institutions, clients, and diverse stakeholders
- Proven experience working within a compliance framework with strict deadlines
- Ability to prioritize and multitask between projects
- Proactive in building strong relationships with diverse stakeholders and fostering cross-functional collaboration
- Ability to delegate while controlling quality
- Strategic thinking and appetite for innovation and understanding new technologies
- Excellent communication skills and proficiency in English, both written and spoken
- Proficiency in Spanish or German is highly appreciated
