About the Role

The Regional Finance Officer position at Etihad Airways is a key role that focuses on providing financial reporting, compliance, and business partnering support to the Europe region. This role will play a crucial part in ensuring all financial-related compliance matters are met and risks of penalty exposures are managed from a compliance perspective.

Key Accountabilities
  • Support the Manager in ensuring all financial and tax compliance with financial regulations and company policies requirements are fulfilled in a timely manner.
  • Continuously identify and evaluate financial risks and opportunities in the region.
  • Support in the annual budget cycle.
  • Identify and drive process improvements with all departments by adopting technology.
  • Provide financial guidance and advice to Department heads in the Region.
  • Monitor and share financial performance against budget and provide commentary to explain any variances.
  • Support the development of financial and operational KPI's.
  • Participate in projects aimed at improving business processes and efficiencies.
  • Manage relationships with key internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
  • Be familiar with applications such as SAP, advanced excel, and Power BI to deliver results.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 4+ years of post-graduation industry experience.
  • Multilingual - English + Spanish or French speaking.
  • Finance-related bachelor's degree as a minimum.
  • Minimum of 2+ Years of related experience in finance and tax within the Europe is required.
  • Experience working in SAP systems would be an advantage.
  • A confident communicator across different stakeholder levels from managers to senior executives.
