About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Development Engineer to join our team at Amazon Spain Services, S.L.U. in the role of Software Development Engineer, Invoice By Amazon. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and developing scalable software architecture for our full-stack systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop a deep understanding of ordering platforms and design scalable software architecture for full-stack systems.
  • Work independently to deliver and maintain medium-sized features, applying software engineering best practices to the development life cycle.
  • Engage in continuous prioritization efforts to balance fast-paced business requirements with long-term technical investments.
  • Support teammates through collaboration and mentoring, shipping and reviewing Java and AWS CDK code for new features on IBA systems.
  • Drive improvements on team-level code quality, process efficiency, and knowledge sharing.
  • Troubleshoot a wide variety of customer issues across the AB ordering domain.
  • Focusing on Operational Excellence, including development processes, monitoring, code deployment, automated testing, and dashboarding.
  • Work with partner teams to enable key IBA behaviors on their platforms.
About the Team

The IBA CAP team is a two-pizza team that owns Compliance, Accounting, and Payments. Due to the peculiarities of IBA, we build our own Payment methods, flow of funds, Accounting bookings, and ensure compliance requirements are met (invoicing, citation, etc.).

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
  • Experience with full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
