About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Development Engineer to join our Invoice By Amazon (IBA) team. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in designing and developing scalable software architecture for our full-stack systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop a deep understanding of ordering platforms and design scalable software architecture for full-stack systems.
  • Work independently to deliver and maintain medium-sized features, applying software engineering best practices throughout the development life cycle.
  • Collaborate with teammates to support and mentor each other, driving improvements in team-level code quality, process efficiency, and knowledge sharing.
  • Troubleshoot a wide variety of customer issues across the AB ordering domain, focusing on Operational Excellence.
  • Work with partner teams to enable key IBA behaviors on their platforms.

About the Team

The IBA CAP team is a two-pizza team that owns Compliance, Accounting, and Payments. Due to the unique nature of IBA, we build our own Payment methods, flow of funds, Accounting bookings, and ensure compliance requirements are met. This poses a great challenge in terms of cooperating with stakeholders from diverse domains, but comes with equally great opportunities to have a big impact, grow, and innovate.

Requirements

  • Experience as a mentor, tech lead, or leading an engineering team.
  • Experience leading the architecture and design of new and current systems.
  • Experience in professional, non-internship software development.
  • Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C# including object-oriented design.
  • Experience in development in the last 3 years.
