About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) expert to join our EMEA Financial Operations team at Boston Scientific. As a key member of our team, you will provide critical support to our Compensation, Reporting, and Planning Managers in achieving our company's goals and objectives.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in FP&A, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality financial analysis and reporting. You will be responsible for creating tools, analyzing data, and closing activities, as well as providing direct and indirect support to the region. Your expertise will also be utilized in commission calculation, project development, and management, as well as AOP process definition.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Provide key financial support to Country and Central FP&A Managers, building strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Work closely with FP&A teams to prepare monthly closing processes, analyzing variance to plan and last year.
  • Develop and deliver monthly financial reports on sales, COGS, inventory, OpEx, OpInc, to FP&A and business stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with FP&A teams to define new financial reports, track performance, and roll out training to FP&A and business stakeholders.
  • Assist FP&A teams in analyzing performance trends, investigating significant variance to plan, and providing ad-hoc analysis on sales and OpEx.
  • Calculate employees' quarterly commissions.
  • Participate in defining sales reps' annual targets.
  • Support FP&A teams in annual financial planning and forecasting, preparing relevant templates and managing financial data.
  • Provide ongoing user assistance and training on financial systems.
  • Contribute to FP&A processes, including quarterly business reviews.
  • Maintain open communication channels with divisional FP&A teams, representing FinOps for assigned divisions.
  • Ensure accuracy and compliance with policies and deadlines for all reports delivered to divisions.
  • Analyze competitors and industry best practices, proposing innovation initiatives.
  • Participate in new developments and European/Corporate projects.

What We're Looking For:

  • Degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field.
  • At least 5+ years of experience in FP&A or Finance Operations.
  • Continuous improvement mindset with attention to detail.
  • Proactivity and ability to plan workload autonomously, maintaining team spirit.
  • Experience working with tight deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills to deliver presentations at top management level and influence others.
  • Nice to have experience in matrix organizations.
  • Fluent in English (working language); additional European language a plus.
  • Strong Excel knowledge and systems adoption (Tableau, Hyperion, SAP).
  • Accounting experience a plus.

Location: Our offices in Madrid, with a hybrid working schedule (2-3 days in the office per week).
