About the PositionWe offer a Predoctoral FPI contract for a researcher to participate in the project "Identification of factors regulating mitochondrial respiratory complex I function and stability: exploring novel opportunities for therapeutic intervention (TARGETCOMPLEX-I)". This project aims to increase our knowledge on the mechanisms regulating respiratory complex I function, which is crucial for understanding mitochondrial diseases.
Responsibilities- Collaborate in the generation, management, and biochemical/molecular characterization of genetically modified mice.
- Design and conduct in vivo and in vitro preclinical assays for complex I deficiency.
- Write manuscripts and present results at local and international meetings.
- Contribute to the general shared tasks of the laboratory.
- Bachelor's (300 ECTS credits) or Master's Degree in biomedical sciences (or equivalent).
- Fluency in English (written and spoken).
- Incorporation to Vall d'Hebron Research Institute (VHIR), a public sector institution that promotes and develops biomedical research, innovation, and teaching.
