Cloud Presales Consultant

SoftwareONE Deutschland GmbH, a global leader in Cloud Services and Solutions, is seeking a Cloud Presales Consultant to join our well-established Technology Services team. This role plays a pivotal part in the success of our business, driving and co-owning Hybrid Cloud Solutions sales and business development within assigned regions.

The Cloud Presales Consultant will function as a partnership with the Business Development Manager Team, taking a consistently proactive approach to developing technical solutions business in the region. This role serves as the technical lead for pre-sales (both professional services and managed services) customer engagements, scoping professional services opportunities and assisting in the creation and delivery of proposals and Statements of Work (SoW) to customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner and co-own sales activities at an opportunity level with the field-based account manager (Business Development Manager - BDM) and the Business Development Experts - BDE in Cloud Computing.
  • Analyze & gather business requirements from large & complex client environments and create thorough, accurate technical solution proposals.
  • Partner with BDMs, BDEs, and local sales leadership to drive new business opportunities within the existing regional account base.
  • Prepare cost estimates for professional and managed services by studying blueprints, plans, and related customer documents.
  • Develop overall solutions including high-level designs, statements of work (SOW), service design, and bills of materials (BOM).
  • Contribute to sales engineering effectiveness by identifying and addressing issues and recommending options.
  • Work with local, regional, and corporate service teams and specialists.
Requirements
  • University degree preferred (in Information Technology or equivalent experience; Master's degree preferred).
  • 5+ years or equivalent experience selling products and services in cloud and workplace ecosystems.
  • Ability to scope and price with limited support.
  • Documented successful sales of enterprise-wide advanced technology data center solutions.
  • Advanced-level Partner Sales and Technical Certifications required (Microsoft, Google, or AWS certification).
  • Ability to conduct meetings with engineering, management, or executive level customer personnel.
  • Capacity to work with local and international customers and colleagues.
  • High level of English both written and spoken; English Proficiency certificate preferred.
