Role Overview:
As a Backend Java Engineer, you will play a crucial role within our Carrier Products Team, engaging in the complete development lifecycle of our projects. Your responsibilities will encompass:
- Leading the development process from initial business analysis through to production release, including technical assessment, development, IT testing, and bug resolution.
- Designing, managing, and maintaining both new and existing solutions within an Agile framework to consistently provide value to our customers.
- Contributing to both user interface and server-side development.
- Ensuring software quality, security, and performance through comprehensive testing methodologies.
- Collaborating with product owners and business analysts to define and estimate technical solutions.
- Fostering continuous improvement within the team and development environment.
- Conducting regular code reviews.
What We Seek:
- A minimum of 4 years of experience with Java 11/JEE/Hibernate/JPA/SQL.
- Familiarity with SOLID principles, clean coding practices, and DRY methodology.
- A degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to independently navigate existing solutions.
- Proficiency in English.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with PostgreSQL or Oracle Database, Web services, and REST services.
- Basic debugging skills using tools like jProfiler and tcpdump.
- Familiarity with Jenkins, Maven, ActiveMQ, and cloud platforms such as AWS.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and Linux/Unix environments.
