Crop Coordinator Job Description

Rijk Zwaan Ibérica, SA is seeking a highly skilled Crop Coordinator to join our team in the Mediterranean area. As a Crop Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in bringing together market and product information, linking the international and local Pepper & Eggplant market, our breeding programme, and our Strategic Crop Team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement commercial introduction and trial plans for market segments in the Mediterranean areas, including sales objectives and forecasts for commercial and pre-commercial varieties.
  • Obtain and analyze market and product information, working closely with a network of crop specialists to inform commercial strategy and breeding policies.
  • Identify opportunities for new product development and advise the Strategic Crop Team on current activities and future strategies.
  • Lead client management for reference accounts in pepper and eggplant, and oversee special local projects that deliver value throughout the value chain.
Requirements:
  • A Master's degree in Agriculture, Horticulture, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of relevant work experience in sales, horticulture, and product management.
  • Knowledge of and experience with vegetable production and fruit crops.
