About Daikin:

Daikin Europe NV (DENV) operates as a subsidiary of Daikin Industries Limited, a renowned Japanese corporation recognized as the largest global developer, manufacturer, and supplier of HVAC-R (heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration) solutions, which include heating pumps and cooling technologies. DENV serves as Daikin's sales, research and development, and production hub for Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.

The IT Center EMEA is structured into three main departments: IT Planning (PLAN), IT Development (BUILD), and IT Infrastructure (RUN). Within the IT Development sector, we have two key competence centers located in Madrid and Ostend. You will be integrated into the IT Development team in Madrid.

The Madrid IT Development department comprises a dynamic group of 50 professionals (both internal and external) along with an offshore team. The environment is youthful and vibrant, fostering a strong team spirit and open lines of communication. We focus on implementing innovative IT solutions for over 7500 Daikin colleagues across Europe and the Middle East.

Role Responsibilities:

We are seeking a motivated individual to become a part of our IT team.

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Comprehensive technical expertise in the relevant systems.
  • Proven experience in planning, organizing, and executing development projects within a dynamic and innovative setting.
  • A passion for creating simple, elegant, and standardized solutions.
  • A commitment to enhancing system performance.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting data analysis and designing applications with a focus on business partnerships.
  • Coordinating collaboration with various departments and subcontractors; working closely with engineers to architect and develop optimal technical designs and approaches.
  • Implementing best practices for development and documentation, ensuring designs meet requirements, and delivering high-quality results within tight timelines.
  • Developing distributed system architectures and ensuring effective system integration.
  • Facilitating communication with business units, understanding processes, and proposing comprehensive solutions applicable to all affiliates.
  • Identifying IT needs through interviews and collaboration with different business departments.

Candidate Profile:

  • A master's degree in Engineering, IT, or Economics.
  • In-depth knowledge of customer applications such as S/4, CDC, MDG, and CDP Solutions.
  • Experience in project management or the ability to coordinate activities among various internal and external stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with CRM tools, Salesforce, and SAP.
  • Capability to provide training to both internal and external personnel.
  • Strong analytical abilities.
  • Fluency in English is essential; proficiency in another European language is advantageous.
