EU Policy Implementation Lead

ICF is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Manager to join our established Policy Implementation and Programmes practice.

This role offers the opportunity to contribute to a diverse range of large-scale projects, providing technical assistance, research, and implementation support to key EU institutions, including the European Commission, as well as organizations in the UK.

Your responsibilities will encompass:

  • Managing the day-to-day operations of specific activities or strands within programmes, reporting directly to Contract Managers and Directors.
  • Overseeing the complete management of one or several programmes, ensuring seamless execution and delivery.
    • Leading the implementation of European programmes or designated segments, encompassing both content development and organizational coordination.
    • Developing and executing comprehensive work plans for large, multinational, and multidisciplinary teams.
    • Establishing and nurturing formal and informal networks with government officials, experts, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to facilitate effective collaboration.

The ideal candidate possesses:

  • 10+ years of proven experience in project management, ideally complemented by relevant certifications such as Prince 2, PMP, or PMI.
  • A demonstrated track record of successfully managing multinational and multidisciplinary teams exceeding 5 individuals.
  • In-depth knowledge and experience working within Project Management Offices (PMOs).
  • Proven ability to contribute to and lead the capture and proposal writing process for securing new projects.
