Job Title: Principal Software Engineer

The Platform team at Roche is building a robust foundation for delivering healthcare and research software applications from the cloud to the lab. As a Principal Software Engineer, you will be a key member of a team of 10+ engineers, applying knowledge of design principles and practices to implement complex, enterprise-scale software systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Software Development: Write high-quality software that performs at scale, is supportable, and extensible.
  • Process & Operations: Ensure the software stack integrates with our existing CI pipeline and contribute to continuous improvement.
  • Leadership: Foster a culture that values technical excellence and support for individuals, leading architecture and design discussions to drive effective technical solutions.
Requirements:
  • BS/MS degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
  • 10+ years of hands-on industry experience as a software engineer.
  • Experience building, deploying, and supporting an enterprise-scale web application in the cloud (AWS preferred).
  • Hands-on software development experience in Java, C++/C#, or JavaScript with a modern MVC framework.
