About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Research Assistant to join our team at the Allergology and Immunology Laboratory. As a key member of our research team, you will be responsible for performing specialized analytical techniques, including Western Blot, Flow Cytometry, and ELISA.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform Western Blot for the detection and analysis of specific proteins/allergens.
  • Conduct Flow Cytometry for the characterization and quantification of cells, particularly in the study of basophil subpopulations.
  • Execute ELISA for the quantification of proteins, antibodies, and other biomarkers in biological fluids.
  • Handle and prepare samples for analysis.
  • Interpret and record results according to established protocols.
  • Maintain, calibrate, and quality control of laboratory equipment.
  • Participate in the continuous improvement of laboratory protocols and the implementation of new diagnostic techniques.
  • Manage biological samples and clinical data related to patients in the section.
  • Assist in the documentation and recording of test results and follow-ups.
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team in the Department of Allergy and the Immunology Lab.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Sciences.
  • Fluency in Catalan, Spanish, and English (business level).
  • Desired: Specific training and advanced knowledge in clinical immunology and molecular biology techniques.
  • Proficiency in computer tools for data recording and clinical report management.
  • Experience and knowledge: Knowledge and experience working in specialized analytical techniques.
  • Ability to work in a team.
  • Good skill in organization.
  • Communication skills for interacting with other healthcare professionals.
