About the Role

As a Research Associate within Boston Consulting Group's Data & Researcher Services team, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality research support to our consulting teams. Your expertise will be focused on delivering in-depth research on Infrastructure, Real Estate, Transportation & Tourism topics, with a specialization in Hospitality, Tourism, Travel distribution, and Aviation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of research topics, including Tourism (destination development), Leisure (Hotels, cruise lines, theme parks, etc.), Aviation (airlines and airport infrastructure), and Travel Distribution.
  • Collaborate with consulting teams and knowledge teams to understand, scope, and deliver accurate, timely, and relevant data and information.
  • Utilize and develop tools and technology to collect, summarize, and synthesize relevant data and information into effective output.
  • Work flexibly in a fast-paced environment, identifying practical, timely, and innovative research approaches.
Requirements
  • 0-2 years of business research experience, with specialization in Travel and Tourism topics.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as Tourism or Hospitality Management.
  • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent communication skills and fluency in English.
  • Sound understanding of the European Tourism sector and markets.
  • Desirable knowledge in research databases like OAG, Phocuswright, Euromonitor, or STR.
