Payroll Operations Specialist

As a Payroll Operations Specialist at Alight Solutions, you will play a critical role in supporting the execution of payroll activities and data management/customer services. Your responsibilities will include:
Key Responsibilities- Independently process payroll end-to-end to ensure timely and accurate delivery, adhering to agreed processing calendars and KPIs.
- Support statutory and year-end reporting, ensuring compliance with agreed calendars and KPIs.
- Utilize payroll expertise to advise clients on queries and issues, maintaining a strong understanding of country-specific legislation and tasks.
- Support and knowledge transfer to apprentices and associates on data management or customer service activities.
- Ensure timely response to tickets and calls, maintaining high standards and adhering to SLA timescales.
- Support system maintenance testing and liaise with third parties as required.
- Conduct root cause analysis to identify and implement preventative measures to limit reoccurrence.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date DWIs, reflecting current processes and services.
- Highlight deviations from standard scope of service to the Service Manager.
- Adhere to Alight Security Standards and maintain accurate time recording.
- Contribute to team meetings, raising issues promptly to the Service Manager.
- Stay up-to-date with Alight announcements and communications.
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and update them in a timely and accurate manner.
- Be accountable for personal responsibility and eagerness to acquire necessary skills.
- Solve problems proactively, identifying challenges and proposing creative solutions for continuous improvement.
- Take ownership of individual and team objectives, seeking clarity and future career opportunities.
- Be client-centric, responding to internal and external client expectations and requirements.
- Demonstrate knowledge of the Alight Way, values, and levers for success.
- Contribute to global standards, utilizing tools and technologies to achieve maximum productivity.
- Strong knowledge of MS Office tools, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Flexibility to support a global and fast-paced environment.
- Excellent Dutch written and verbal skills, with good English skills.
- Self-motivated and willing to learn.
- Ability to collaborate and work in a team environment, as well as independently.
- BA/BS in a business-related field, such as Accounting, Human Resources, Business Administration, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 2-3 years of relevant experience administering payroll or health and welfare/benefits in an HR consulting, HR outsourcing, or corporate environment.
- HRIS knowledge: Workday, SAP, or PeopleSoft knowledge preferred.
