About the Role
We are seeking a qualified solicitor to join our Professional and Commercial Risk team in Bristol. As a key member of the team, you will play an active role in the continued growth and success of the professional indemnity team.
Key Responsibilities
- Handling a stimulating and often complex caseload dealing with court and tribunal claims, including claims under the Equality Act, Judicial Reviews, and contractual disputes.
- Interacting regularly with leading insurer and education clients.
- Working collaboratively with other specialists across the firm.
- Acting as a point of contact for clients where necessary.
- Maintaining an awareness of the firm's strategies and plans.
- Maintaining and developing technical knowledge through attendance at training sessions.
- Ensuring compliance with DAC Beachcroft protocols on billing and credit control.
Requirements
- A qualified solicitor, ideally with at least 1 year of experience dealing with education claims.
- Excellent relationship and client handling skills.
- The ability to deliver clear, well-written advice/reports on complex legal issues.
- Able to demonstrate a reasonable level of self-sufficiency.
- An ability to adopt a client-focused and commercial perspective.
- Change-oriented with a positive, flexible approach.
- Team-oriented and collegiate.
- Willingness to work hard as part of a highly ambitious team.
