About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Center Operations Specialist to join our team at Amazon. As a key member of our AWS Infrastructure Services team, you will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of our data centers, ensuring the highest standards of safety and security while providing seamless service to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the operation and maintenance of all electrical, mechanical, and HVAC equipment within the data center.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot all mechanical, electrical, HVAC systems, voice/data, chiller systems, and generators.
  • Provide assistance to contractors or data center engineers to ensure proper operation and maintenance of all facility equipment.
  • Perform site walkthroughs to verify proper operation of facility equipment and monitoring systems.
  • Act as a facilities first responder to critical events and support new data center facilities and existing data center facilities.
Requirements
  • High school or equivalent diploma.
  • Knowledge of generic mechanical room infrastructure such as chillers, cooler units, and fan controls.
  • Knowledge of key electrical competencies and theory.
  • Experience leading and managing operations of critical facilities which require in-depth knowledge in electrical, mechanical, and control systems.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, project management, construction management, or similar technical focus.
