Our Culinary DepartmentWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our Culinary Department at Jumeirah Port Soller Hotel & Spa. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for assisting the Outlet Head Chef in the operation and administration of our food preparation activities.
Main Responsibilities- Assist the Outlet Head Chef in planning, organizing, and managing all activities within the food preparation department.
- Ensure the efficient and diplomatic execution of all food and beverage activities, representing the reputation of the hotel.
- Implement and maintain SOP standards on a daily basis.
- Ensure HACCP requirements are met on a daily basis and take immediate corrective action if necessary.
- Develop menus, buffets, and 'specials' that meet the needs of our customers, in collaboration with the CDC.
- Conduct daily checks of fridges, mise en place at each station, and ensure a consistent quality of MEP.

RequirementsWe are looking for a candidate with the following experience and qualifications:
- Advance Food and Hygiene Training
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role or in large-scale free-standing restaurant operation
- Worked in previous luxury brand hotels and restaurants
We value a good level of English, a friendly and approachable demeanor, excellent supervisory and leadership skills, the ability to work well under pressure, and flexibility in working according to the needs of the business.
