Key Responsibilities- Collaboration and Support: Work closely with artists and production management to identify and implement solutions that enhance productivity and quality.
- Tool Development and Maintenance: Partner with engineers and artists to design, develop, and refine tools and processes that meet the needs of our production teams.
- Technical Support: Provide first-line support to artists and production teams, troubleshooting and resolving technical issues in a timely and efficient manner.
- Project Management: Report to the TD Supervisor on the status of technical development projects, tool performance, and production operations.
- Continuous Improvement: Analyze production workflows and user experiences to identify areas for improvement and implement changes that enhance efficiency and quality.
- Technical Expertise: Stay up-to-date with the latest artistic methodologies and technology trends, and apply this knowledge to drive innovation and improvement in our technical environment.
- Team Leadership: Provide guidance, support, and instruction to team members to help them grow professionally and artistically.
- Communication: Maintain open and effective communication with the team, stakeholders, and leadership to ensure that technical goals and objectives are aligned with business needs.
- Experience: 6 years in VFX or animation industries, with a minimum of 1 year in animation industry.
- Education: BS degree in Computer Science or similar technical field of study, or equivalent practical experience.
- Technical Skills: Deep understanding of 3D animated film production pipelines and workflows, expertise in Python, experience building tools for Maya, Houdini, and Nuke, and proficiency in Linux and Windows operating systems.
- Soft Skills: Strong project management skills, excellent communication skills, and ability to document digital processes and technical solutions.
- Language: Advanced English level, with Spanish oral and written skills desirable.
