Lead Technical Initiatives at Tomtom

We're seeking a seasoned technical leader to drive quality engineering and testing strategies across our platform products. As a Senior Technical Lead, you'll collaborate with our technical leadership team to design and architect software that meets quality goals, develop and improve testing strategies, and lead technical initiatives to enhance product quality and reliability.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with product teams to design and architect software that meets quality goals
  • Develop and continuously improve a robust technical testing strategy to ensure bug-free software
  • Lead technical initiatives to enhance product quality and reliability
  • Work with the technical leadership team to create designs that improve non-functional and quality aspects of the product
  • Develop and implement tools and systems to test or measure the quality of our products
  • Establish mechanisms to monitor product quality and take corrective action when required
  • Solve complex problems at scale across teams, owning software architecture and technical designs
  • Enable team success through interaction with the technical community
  • Drive technical decisions to improve best practices for quality engineering, testing, and operational excellence
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field and 10+ years of relevant experience
  • Strong Computer Science and development fundamentals, including object-oriented design, data structures, algorithm design, and complexity analysis
  • Proven experience in leading test strategies and quality improvement processes for large organizations
  • Strong knowledge and practice of professional software engineering and best practices for the full software development life cycle
  • Experience defining system architectures at scale and exploring technical feasibility trade-offs
