About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Language Specialist to join our team at RWS, a leading provider of technology-enabled language, content, and intellectual property services. As a Language Specialist, you will play a crucial role in unlocking global understanding by providing high-quality language services and support to our translation team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operational Excellence: Provide high-quality and accurate translations as part of a larger project team, effectively understanding source language content and applying appropriate style and terminology to the target language.
  • Deliver Quality, Value, Results: Meet required standards for quality by understanding and correctly applying SDL's linguistic and project processes and procedures, and may provide linguistic quality assurance (QA) testing of localized translations.
  • Functional Excellence: Learn important translation and linguistic tools, such as SDL Studio, by actively participating in both formal and informal learning opportunities, and apply learnings to develop higher levels of proficiency in translation skills, specialized knowledge, and cultural standards associated with source and target languages.
  • Relationship Building: Build strong relationships with team members by actively contributing to team projects, taking initiative, communicating effectively, and demonstrating a commitment to achieving customer results.
Requirements
  • Recent graduate (less than 3 years of completion) of Bachelor's or Master's degree in Languages, Translation, or related.
  • Preferably, experience of 1-2 years doing Translation, English to Spanish/Catalan.
  • Knowledge of CAT Tools, Trados Studio desired.
  • Native level of Spanish and Catalan languages and proficiency in English.
