Job Overview
We are seeking a Contracting Manager to join our dynamic team in Gran Canaria. In this role, you will be tasked with enhancing revenue by meeting contracting objectives and identifying new business prospects in alignment with the company's guidelines, standards, and strategies within your designated area. You will also be responsible for proposing and executing contracting strategies in collaboration with management, ensuring alignment with overall company objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary face-to-face contact for accommodation supplier vendors, nurturing relationships related to contracting, operational, commercial, or financial matters.
- Negotiate initial purchase quality metrics for contracts with new suppliers and manage contract renewals, covering aspects such as rates, inventory, offers, release periods, marketing contributions, overrides, cancellation policies, credit terms, and pricing models (net or commission).
- Maintain and expand the supplier portfolio in accordance with targets, ensuring product diversity for our clientele.
- Identify and negotiate preferential conditions with key partners in direct coordination with your supervisor, while promoting commercial opportunities.
- Monitor compliance with contractual obligations to ensure adherence to customer service standards, data protection, and signings, addressing any associated risks of non-compliance as necessary.
- Ensure that contract targets are met and work to maintain and grow production in the assigned areas.
- Handle all aspects related to contracting, including negotiations, setting and loading contracts, client assignments, and follow-ups on brochure descriptions with hoteliers.
- Analyze sales performance, comparing it to previous years, competitors, and margins, while considering flight availability, new operations, or any changes impacting the performance of contracted products.
Requirements:
- A degree in Tourism or Business Administration.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role.
- Proficiency in English and Spanish is essential; knowledge of German and other languages is advantageous.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Strong organizational skills, with the capacity to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Excellent negotiation, analytical, strategic, and creative problem-solving abilities.
- Extensive product knowledge of the relevant area.
