About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Laboratory Research Associate to join our team at CNIO, a leading European Cancer Research Center. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in the discovery of new targets for cancer therapeutics.

Key Responsibilities

  • Integrate with our team of 10 scientists to evaluate and validate new cancer targets in emerging areas such as Chromosomal Instability, DNA Repair, Tumor Metabolism, Immunotherapy, Cell Signaling, and Translational Research.
  • Work collaboratively with investigators to design and execute experiments towards target validation in molecular biology, cellular biology, in vivo work, bioinformatics, and immunohistochemistry.
  • Contribute to the development of new cancer therapeutics through the application of cutting-edge technologies such as CRISPR, Seahorse analysis, and LC-MS.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of practical experience in molecular biology, cell culture techniques, animal husbandry, and bioenergetics.
  • Strong background in gene silencing, library screening, PCR, isolation of nucleic acids, and cloning.
  • Experience in cell culture of tumor cells, primary culture of mouse embryonic fibroblast, human PBMC, and mouse immune cells.
  • Fluent in English.
