About the Role:
We are looking for a seasoned Network Security Specialist to enhance our team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of network security fundamentals, emphasizing firewalls, Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA), and policy orchestration. This role entails designing, implementing, and overseeing network security protocols to safeguard our organization's data and infrastructure.
This Network Security Specialist will be part of our expanding Secure Connectivity team, which falls under Cyber Technology.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate, implement, and oversee firewall policies and configurations to ensure comprehensive network security.
- Design, implement, and sustain ZTNA frameworks to bolster the security posture of our network.
- Enhance policy orchestration processes to improve the efficiency of security operations.
- Assist in network security evaluations and environmental analyses to identify and mitigate risks.
- Support and address network security incidents, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security measures into network infrastructure initiatives.
- Maintain and update network security documentation, including policies, procedures, and configurations.
- Stay informed about emerging security technologies and industry best practices to continually enhance network defenses.
Qualifications:
- 6+ years of relevant experience in IT, with nearly 2 years in the network security domain.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field; or equivalent experience.
- Strong understanding of firewalls, ZTNA, and policy orchestration.
- Familiarity with network protocols, routing, and switching.
- Experience in security incident response and mitigation.
- Hands-on experience with network security tools and technologies.
