About the Position

Werfen is a growing, family-owned, innovative company founded in Barcelona, Spain. We are a worldwide leader in specialized diagnostics in the areas of Hemostasis, Acute Care Diagnostics, Transfusion, Autoimmunity, and Transplant.

We operate directly in 30 countries, and in more than territories through distributors. Our headquarters and technology centers are located in Europe and the United States, and our workforce is more than 7, strong.

We are looking for a Senior Software Development Engineer to be part of a development team that is responsible for the development, design, and implementation of new or modified software products or ongoing business projects.

Under the supervision of the team leader, the successful candidate will participate in the development of the product following the methodologies used in the project and participate in the continuous improvement process. Leading the front-end architecture is a key responsibility.

This position is Hybrid (Remote 3 days and Presential 2 days per week):

  • Key Accountabilities:
  • Definition of new features with all involved stakeholders.
  • Requirements writing.
  • Architecture definition.
  • Design code and systems when needed.
  • Implementation and unit testing.
  • Participate in and conduct review meetings.
  • Participate in troubleshooting and performance improvement processes.

The ideal candidate for this position:

  • Has analytical capacity to understand the problems and with troubleshooting.
  • Is highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to multi-task.
  • Is proactive, but still works well in a team-oriented environment.
  • Has good communication skills to perform a demo and to communicate with the rest of the team.
  • Is flexible and adaptable to a fast-changing environment.
  • Has great work capacity.
  • Has good English speaking and writing skills.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years in SW development using Angular.
  • Experience on CSS, HTML5, JavaScript, TypeScript, and NodeJS.
  • Experience with IDEs such as Visual Studio Code or IntelliJ IDEA.
  • Knowledge of software architecture and design patterns.
  • Good grasp on unit testing and automation testing.
  • Experience with continuous integration and deployment (Jenkins/SonaQube).
  • Good understanding of Git/Bitbucket.
  • Some knowledge in UX and development of responsive applications for mobile/tablet will be valued.
  • Knowledge of and experience with source/version control systems, such as GIT, etc.
