About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned Business Development Director to join our team at Parexel. As a key member of our commercial operations, you will be responsible for driving business growth and expansion through strategic sales activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • New Business Acquisition: Identify and pursue new business opportunities across all SBUs, developing strategic sales plans and ensuring smooth transition to delivery.
  • Client Prospecting: Maintain a strong understanding of clients' development and commercial strategies, product development portfolios, and pain points, adapting successful strategies and tactics to meet market demands and financial targets.
  • Competition: Collaborate with marketing, inside sales, Solution Consultants, and commercial operations to obtain thorough knowledge of the competitive landscape and high-priority opportunities.
  • Parexel Value Proposition: Maintain solid knowledge of all Parexel services and value propositions for appropriate cross-selling opportunities.
  • Client Relationship Management: Ensure effective hand-off to delivery teams, liaising with Project Integrator Roles or Project Leaders to transfer knowledge on client needs and expectations.
Requirements
  • Proven track record of driving business growth and expansion through strategic sales activities.
  • Strong understanding of clients' development and commercial strategies, product development portfolios, and pain points.
  • Ability to adapt successful strategies and tactics to meet market demands and financial targets.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong knowledge of Parexel services and value propositions.
