Job Opportunity

Analog Devices Inc's Software and Security Group is seeking a skilled software engineer to contribute to the development of cutting-edge software solutions for 5G NR and ORAN hardware platforms.

As a critical member of the team, you will design and build system software modules for 5G Radios Units, collaborating closely with hardware and software engineers to deliver real-world software solutions.

We are looking for a highly motivated and creative software engineer with a strong background in electrical and computer engineering, and experience in Linux/C/C++ programming, embedded platforms, and software development life cycle.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop system software modules for 5G Radios Units
  • Collaborate with hardware and software engineers to deliver software solutions
  • Participate in feasibility, requirements, architecture, design, implementation, integration, and verification phases
  • Work in a distributed development environment

Requirements:

  • BS/MS in Electronic or Software Computer Engineering
  • Minimum 3 years of experience developing software in embedded environments
  • Strong Linux/C/C++ programming skills
  • Experience with embedded platforms and embedded Linux application development
  • Experience with SCM tools (GIT, SVN, etc.) and defect tracking tools (Jira, SVN, etc.)
  • In-depth knowledge of software development life cycle, software configuration management tools, and software release process
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Strong communication skills

Preferred Skills:

  • Strong working knowledge of a software development process (e.g. Agile)
  • Knowledge of one or more script languages (e.g. Python)
  • Experience with CI/CD tools, software testing, and software quality testing
  • Knowledge of RF systems
  • Familiarity with O-RU architecture, O-RAN split 7-2x fronthaul, C/U/S & M planes, and ECPRI interfaces
