Software Quality Assurance Engineer

Location: Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain · IT Sector

ROLE SUMMARY

We are seeking a Software Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer to design and implement both manual and automated testing processes to guarantee the quality of our products at our development center in Barcelona.

You will collaborate with a diverse, international team of skilled professionals focused on online credit services utilizing agile development practices.

We value intelligent individuals who are proactive and excel in teamwork.

Key Responsibilities:

· Engage with a cross-functional, self-directed team and contribute throughout the entire development lifecycle.

· Work closely with the Product Owner to ensure alignment on project goals.

· Conduct both automated and manual testing of our microservices architecture.

· Manage defects and bugs effectively.

Qualifications

REQUIRED SKILLS

· Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field with equivalent practical experience.

· A minimum of 3 years of experience in software quality assurance.

· In-depth knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.

· Proven experience in developing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases.

· Practical experience with both white-box and black-box testing techniques.

· Familiarity with automated testing tools.

· Understanding of databases and scripting languages.

· Experience in Agile/Scrum development environments.

· Background in a startup setting, preferably within eCommerce or IT sectors.

· Experience in performance and/or security testing is advantageous.
