Our Opportunity

As a Test Manager within Zurich Insurance Company's BTO Security Testing team, you will be part of a global team providing Application Security services to the company's business units across the world. You will join a young and motivated team that is growing fast, with a focus on a key area for the company.

Your Role

As a Test Manager, your main responsibilities will involve:

  • Leading and participating in information gathering sessions to evaluate client requirements and develop proposals for collaboration.
  • Evaluating proposal notes with the technical lead and sharing them with the Test Service Manager.
  • Operating with the security pipeline to identify next security assessment projects in scope and working with stakeholders to confirm project scope and access requirements.
  • Elaborating and sending security assessment plans before projects start and uploading information gathered with the testers.
  • During project execution, being the single point of contact (SPOC) for both testers and clients and facilitating the resolution of potential issues that may occur during manual penetration testing projects.
  • Providing support and guidelines to testers on project execution when needed.
  • After project execution, ensuring that final reports are sent to stakeholders and ensuring that finding agreements meetings are scheduled and assigned to the technical lead or their delegates.
  • Overseeing retest processes and ensuring that testers take required actions to run them as per the schedule.
  • Supporting and being the SPOC for the Veracode service, supporting the global test service manager.
  • Attending required meetings related to Veracode delegated by the global test service manager.
  • Supporting the team providing services to Veracode and facilitating coordination between the operations team and clients.
  • Overseeing the security test engineering team mailbox and sharing relevant proposals received via forms for security assessments with team contacts.
  • Overseeing requests related to Veracode or any security scan requirements are completed by the security operations team.
  • Participating and working together with the global security test manager on process and procedure documentation related to services provided by the unit.
  • Working with external providers and overseeing their activities related to security assessments and application security services.
  • Acting as a backup of the global security test service manager if required and to cover actions related to project execution and designed tasks related to run and maintain services.

Your Skills and Experience

As a Test Manager, your skills and qualifications will ideally include:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in computer science or related subject.
  • Understanding of application security testing requirements related to the software development life cycle (SDLC).
  • Proven experience managing or executing manual penetration testing during the SDLC.
  • Hands-on experience on application security scanning: static application security testing (SAST), dynamic application security testing (DAST), interactive application security testing (IAST), and software composition analysis (SCA).
  • Experience on DevSecOps/cloud security is a plus.
  • Understanding of information/IT governance and risk management.
  • Proven experience with common application security frameworks such as OWASP, PTES, and NIST.
  • Excellent communication skills, being able to take part in meetings and provide expert advice.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional security qualification - CISSP, CISM, CCSP (or other similar cloud security qualification), CEH, CompTIA Security+.
  • Knowledge and experience of working with application security scanning and manual penetration testing tools (Veracode, Checkmarks, Burp suite, among others).
  • Experience as an application security consultant/manager/developer.
  • Familiar with agile project management methodologies.
