About the Role

TomTom is seeking a highly skilled Technical Program Manager to join our Map Platform software engineering organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive Complex Technological Programs: Create momentum and collective buy-in within the organization to ultimately ship the program or product.
  • Ensure Alignment: Work alongside Engineering Managers (EMs) and Product Managers (PMs) to simplify and abstract complex dependencies and technical landscapes.
  • Operate at a System-Level: Tailor the approach to the unique context and needs of each program, and take ownership of the key decisions made and driving them to completion.
  • Manage Program Execution: Ensure shared and timely communication with key stakeholders for improved transparency.
  • Support Product Roadmap Planning: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement the product roadmap.
  • Take Ownership of Technical Risks: Lead technical decision-making across cross-functional teams.
  • Communicate Effectively: Develop and maintain productive internal relationships, facilitate cross-collaboration between IT and other departments, and generate targeted reports.
Requirements
  • At Least 10 Years of Experience: In software engineering and software architecture.
  • Proven Experience in Leading Teams: Through complex projects.
  • Deep Understanding of Modern Project Management Methodologies: Including systems thinking and evidence-based management.
  • Strong Leadership and Strategic Thinking Skills: Effective communication and conflict resolution skills.
  • Commitment to Continuous Learning: Stay updated on industry trends.
  • Strong Interpersonal Skills: Foster positive relationships.
