As a vital member of a multidisciplinary development team, the Senior 3D Art Supervisor will work closely with the Studio Art Director to define artistic objectives for various projects. This role involves overseeing the art team's output, mentoring team members, and ensuring the quality of production results while managing aspects of game development.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess the produced assets to ensure they meet the required technical 3D standards and methodologies.
- Propose effective solutions to achieve project goals.
- Facilitate the professional growth of team members.
- Assist the team with their ongoing tasks whenever feasible.
- Maintain and update documentation related to our 3D processes.
- Manage the seasonal 3D initial orders and backlog to identify inconsistencies or missing details.
- Supervise and assign the resolution of team-related issues.
- Provide updates to the Associate Producer regarding the team's progress.
- Engage in performance evaluations and contribute to the assessment of 3D team members.
- Act as a liaison between R6 Art Direction, Technical Direction, and the Strategy Team.
- Collaborate with other leads and team members.
- Lead the 3D team by fostering a culture of quality, creativity, and technical excellence.
What You Will Bring
- 2 to 4 years of experience in a Senior or Lead Artist position within the video game industry.
- Strong teamwork abilities with effective leadership skills for delegating tasks.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to engage with colleagues across various departments.
- Proficient in modeling, UV unwrapping, and texturing.
- Solid understanding of 3Ds Max, Zbrush, Photoshop, Substance Painter, and Designer.
- Familiarity with the technical constraints associated with real-time 3D engines and level design tools.
- Ability to comprehend specific pipeline requirements for R6 Customization and suggest enhancements.
- Open to feedback and willing to adapt based on constructive criticism.
- Fluent in written and spoken English.
- Creative, detail-oriented, and capable of working under pressure.
- A genuine passion for video games and extensive knowledge of various game genres across platforms.
- A positive attitude and a true team player.
- Ability to take direction effectively.
- Willingness to share knowledge and learn from others.
- Experience with Rainbow Six Siege or MTX asset production is a plus.
