Technology Transfer Officer on Intellectual Property Rights

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Technology Transfer junior officer on IPR to join our team at the Barcelona Supercomputing Center. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the management of our intellectual property portfolio, including registering and protecting our research results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage intellectual property rights for the AINA project, including defining the IPR strategy for project results and maintaining an updated portfolio of technologies.
  • Provide assistance in identifying, registering, and protecting BSC research project results through the Intellectual Property Disclosure Form.
  • Support the maintenance of an updated BSC portfolio of technologies.

Requirements
  • Education: A Business or Law degree is preferred, but applicants with a Science or Engineering degree will also be considered.
  • Essential Knowledge and Professional Experience: Knowledge of innovation, IPR management, or similar is a plus.
  • Additional Knowledge and Professional Experience: Work experience is not essential, but candidates with knowledge of Computer and Computational Sciences or Start-ups creation will be at an advantage.
  • Competences: Good written and verbal communication skills are essential.

Working Conditions
  • The position will be located at BSC within the Director's Department.
  • We offer a full-time contract with a competitive salary, flexible working hours, extensive training plan, restaurant tickets, private health insurance, and support for relocation procedures.
  • Duration: Open-ended contract due to technical and scientific activities linked to the project and budget duration.
  • Holidays: 23 paid vacation days plus 24th and 31st of December per our collective agreement.

Language Skills
  • Fluency in English, Spanish, and Catalan is essential.
