Job Title: Intellectual Property Manager

At Fundació I2Cat, we are seeking a highly skilled Intellectual Property Manager to join our team. As a key member of our Knowledge and Technology Marketing area, you will play a crucial role in protecting and managing our intellectual property (IP) portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement strategies to protect and manage IP assets
  • Ensure that all IP-related processes are proactive and aligned with commercial opportunities
  • Advise researchers and business units on IP matters, facilitating seamless commercialization of technologies
  • Manage the invention disclosure process, oversee the protection of research results, and analyze patentability
  • Track IP rights and their renewals, evaluate generated intangible assets, and write funding proposals to valorize assets
  • Manage projects for valorizing research results, propose business models and licensing terms, and define key licensing terms and participation in spin-off companies
  • Address IP management questions and conflicts from researchers, project managers, and business teams
  • Propose and conduct internal training on IP and technology transfer
  • Track i2CAT's participation in companies and provide management recommendations
  • Suggest improvements to i2CAT's IP management policies and processes
Requirements:
  • Strong understanding of intellectual property law and management
  • Excellent communication and advisory skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience in technology transfer and commercialization
