Position Overview:

The selected candidate will play a pivotal role in delivering prompt engineering assistance to our clientele on a daily basis. Key responsibilities encompass (but are not limited to): 1) Providing liaison engineering support, including repair design, analysis, calculations, drawings, and certification, 2) Demonstrating a robust understanding of the Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs), Service Bulletins (SBs), Airworthiness Directives (ADs), and Advisory Circulars, and 3) Exhibiting exceptional communication skills, both oral and written.

Educational Background/Experience:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from an ABET accredited institution.
  • Preference for candidates with an aviation-related or Mechanical Engineering background.
  • Previous experience in the aviation sector is highly desirable, particularly in airline support, structural repairs, MRO/Liaison/MRB Engineering, etc.
General Qualifications/Knowledge, Skills, Abilities (KSA):
  • Proficient in conducting structural analysis to substantiate aircraft repairs, encompassing both major and minor modifications.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the relevant FARs.
  • Strong communication skills (both oral and written).
  • Ability to effectively engage with the customer base.
Nature of Work:
  • Deliver prompt engineering support for line and check aircraft.
  • Develop repair schemes (accompanied by drawings or sketches) and supporting analysis/calculations for structural aircraft discrepancies.
  • Familiarity with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) technical documentation (such as Engineering drawings, Structural Repair Manual, Illustrated Parts Catalog, Aircraft Maintenance Manual, etc.).
  • Maintain communication with customers throughout the development of a structural repair/modification, clarifying needs, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Follow up with the customer base regarding the implementation of proposed repair schemes, making necessary adjustments to facilitate repair work.
  • Responsible for identifying alternative materials and processes to ensure compliance with design requirements, weight optimization, and safety and reliability standards.
  • Provide engineering status updates on work progress as required by management.

  • Must be a strong communicator with a goal-oriented mindset. Proven liaison engineering experience with a focus on creativity and FAR compliance is essential.
  • Understanding of the airline industry, MRO, and/or check environment, emphasizing the importance of timely repair delivery.
