Aircraft Structures Engineer

The selected candidate will be tasked with delivering prompt engineering assistance to our clientele on a daily basis. Key responsibilities encompass: 1) Providing liaison engineering support, including repair design, analysis, calculations, drawings, and certification, 2) A comprehensive understanding of the Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs), Service Bulletins (SBs), Airworthiness Directives (ADs), and Advisory Circulars, and 3) Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Educational Background/Experience:- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from an ABET accredited institution.
- Preferred background in aviation or Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience in the aviation sector is advantageous, particularly in airline support, structural repairs, MRO/Liaison/MRB Engineering, etc.
- Capable of performing structural analysis to substantiate aircraft repairs, encompassing both major and minor repairs.
- In-depth knowledge of the relevant FARs.
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
- Ability to effectively engage with the customer base.
- Deliver prompt engineering support for line and check aircraft.
- Develop repair strategies (including drawings or sketches) and supporting analysis/calculations for structural aircraft discrepancies.
- Familiarity with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) technical documentation (such as Engineering drawings, Structural Repair Manual, Illustrated Parts Catalog, Aircraft Maintenance Manual, etc.).
- Interact with customers during the development of a structural repair/modification, clarifying needs, timelines, deliverables, etc.
- Follow up with clients to ensure the implementation of the proposed repair strategy, making necessary adjustments to facilitate the repair process.
- Responsible for identifying alternative materials and processes to ensure compliance with design requirements, weight optimization, and safety and reliability standards.
- Provide Engineering status updates on work progress as required by management.
- Must be a strong communicator with a goal-oriented mindset. Proven liaison engineering experience with a focus on creativity and FAR compliance is essential.
- Understanding of the airline industry, MRO, and/or check environment, along with the significance of timely repair delivery.
- Achieve and/or surpass projected budgets and revenue forecasts for engineering services.
- Deliver exceptional service to our Clients.
