About the Role
As the Head Sustainability Spain at SIX, you will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of the company's sustainability strategy for Spain and the European Union. This involves staying up-to-date with evolving sustainability regulations and standards, identifying commercial opportunities, and ensuring the company's compliance with these regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and execute the sustainability strategy for Spain and the EU, aligning with the company's overall goals and objectives.
- Represent SIX towards internal and external stakeholders, positioning the company as a key player in sustainable finance in Europe.
- Work closely with the Group Sustainability team, the group's sustainability delegates, and the innovation team to ensure the implementation of the company's strategic measures.
- Support the teams in context with sustainability-related corporate reporting.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Head Sustainability or in a senior sustainability role, with a track record of developing and implementing successful strategies and measures.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to translate sustainability goals into actionable plans and drive and measure results.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in Spanish and English, with the ability to lead through influence and effectively engage stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Good understanding of sustainability regulations and general sustainability principles, trends, and best practices.
