Job Summary

The Medical Affairs Trainee is a key role in providing support to the medical activities for a specific Therapeutic Area (TA). This position focuses on providing administrative and technical support to the Therapeutic Area Manager, as well as scientific, medical, and educational support to healthcare professionals (HCPs) and colleagues in the assigned therapeutic area under the supervision of the Therapeutic Area Manager.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the TAL of the different TAs in managing contracts and administrative tasks for obtaining internal and external approvals/authorizations for local studies and medical activities.
  • Collaborate in the development of scientific materials and presentations for in-field positions.
  • Stay up-to-date with clinical knowledge, published data, and trial work for company products, including occasional attendance at scientific meetings and conferences.
  • Ensure medical activities comply with local regulations and Takeda procedures in collaboration with the Medical Affairs Specialist.
  • Keep activity tracking records up-to-date.
  • Collaborate with the TAM in reviewing promotional materials to ensure adherence to Takeda SOPs and Spanish Legislation.
  • Use specific disease and product knowledge to support the generation of training materials for internal use by the TAM and MSLs.
  • Collaborate with the Therapeutic Area Manager and MSLs in tracking and achieving Individual Action Plans with selected KOLs.
  • Align with Takeda Project teams to ensure field-based medical activities align with central plans.
Requirements:
  • University Degree in Medical or Health Sciences.
  • Fluent written and spoken English (mandatory).
  • Master's degree related to Medical Affairs or similar (desirable).
  • Minimum 1 year of working experience in a role with similar complexity.
  • Experience in the Pharma industry is an advantage.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrable thirst for knowledge with an ability to assimilate information quickly and present clinical data clearly and concisely.
  • Experience in a matrix management environment is valued.
  • Passionate and self-confident.
  • IT skills, particularly competent with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Travel Requirements:
  • Ability to drive or fly to attend meetings, audits, and training.
