Job Description

Job Title: Lead Project Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Project Engineer to join our team at Veolia. As a key member of our Water Treatment team, you will be responsible for leading and coordinating engineering activities for water treatment projects.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Lead and coordinate engineering activities for water treatment projects, ensuring timely completion and adherence to budget.
  • Develop and review technical documentation, including PIDs, layouts, and technical specifications, to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Support the Commercial team in estimating engineering hours required for projects.
  • Identify and communicate improvement opportunities and implement changes to enhance project efficiency.
  • Train and mentor junior engineers to develop their technical knowledge and skills.
  • Provide site support for projects and ensure compliance with engineering standards and regulations.
  • Evaluate technical bids from suppliers and lead project technical meetings.
  • Liaise with the Global Product Engineering group to maintain knowledge and stay updated on the latest developments.
  • Support the Project Manager, Factory, and Quality teams with CE/UKCA marking certification and related documentation.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Environmental Engineering.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in project engineering, preferably in the water treatment field.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical and project engineering principles, including water hydraulics and chemistry.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Fluent English language skills, with French language skills a plus.
