We are seeking a highly skilled Underwriter to join our team in France. As an Underwriter, you will be responsible for evaluating and pricing risks in accordance with Chubb guidelines and underwriting authority.
Key Responsibilities- Client Service: Provide excellent service to brokers and be a key contact for external and internal stakeholders, including the local country, for business processed in the underwriting center.
- Risk Evaluation: Underwrite, evaluate and price risks in accordance with Chubb guidelines and underwriting authority.
- Collaboration: Work closely with underwriting and sales teams based in France to ensure portfolio sustainability, promote our offering and exploit cross-selling opportunities.
- Contract Negotiation: Review and adapt underwriting offers, leading contract negotiations with brokers.
- Policy Management: Ensure effective management of policies throughout their life cycle.
- Teamwork: Cooperate with internal departments such as Operations, Claims, Small and Middle Market Segments leaders.
- Business Development: Support all developments necessary to achieve our business strategies.
- Language Proficiency: Native/bilingual in French is a must.
- Business English: Business level of English (C1) is a must.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in economics, business administration, law, insurance or engineering would be preferable.
- Industry Experience: Experience in insurance sector is important.
- Underwriting Experience: Prior underwriter experience is preferable.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Outlook and Word).
