About the Role:
We are seeking a highly experienced and ambitious legal professional to lead the legal team supporting the fast-growing Payments Business Unit at Amadeus. As a Strategic Legal Director, you will play a critical role in driving the business forward by providing expert legal advice and guidance to the senior management team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the Strategy: Plan, build, and execute against strategic objectives and projects of the Payments Business Unit, including mergers and acquisitions, e-money licenses, and other strategic initiatives.
- Provide Legal Guidance: Offer expert legal advice and guidance to the senior management team on all aspects of the business, including regulatory compliance, risk management, and dispute resolution.
- Lead the Legal Team: Supervise and manage a team of legal professionals to deliver a best-in-class legal service to the business.
- Manage External Services: Oversee the choice, quality, and costs of external counsel and manage relationships with law firms to control costs and ensure timely advice.
- Drive Operational Efficiency: Enhance legal transaction operations and manage budget contributions to drive business outcomes.
About You:
- University Legal Degree: A top-tier university degree in law (post-graduate qualification desirable).
- Relevant Experience: 10-15 years of relevant post-qualification legal experience, including experience managing teams and solid practice in C-level communications.
