Job Purpose:
In the role of Cloud Marketplace Solutions Manager, you will be instrumental in onboarding and assisting software vendors to establish their footprint on the Microsoft Commercial Marketplace. Your responsibilities will include guiding vendors through the setup process, ensuring adherence to marketplace standards, and promoting the adoption of best practices. Furthermore, you will spearhead internal training and enablement initiatives to equip colleagues across various entities with the essential knowledge and skills to effectively support marketplace operations.
You will collaborate with the Microsoft marketplace team to coordinate joint go-to-market strategies, remain informed about Microsoft programs and changes in marketplace policies, and act as the primary contact for operational support regarding Microsoft marketplace onboarding tasks, including SaaSOps, SaaS LCM, and private offer management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Vendor Onboarding and Channel Enablement: Partner with software vendors to navigate the onboarding journey for the Microsoft Commercial Marketplace, which includes account setup, product listing creation, and validation of both technical and business prerequisites. Provide guidance and enablement to vendors unfamiliar with the two-tier distribution model, assisting them in comprehending the intricacies of channel strategy implementation and optimizing their approach for marketplace success.
- Compliance Management and Integration Support: Ensure that vendors comply with Microsoft's guidelines and policies for listing and selling software on the marketplace, offering guidance on licensing, pricing, and security standards. Connect vendors with relevant internal and Microsoft teams to provide technical assistance in resolving platform-related issues, troubleshooting integration challenges, and enhancing product listings for maximum visibility and performance.
- Marketplace Operations Support: Act as the internal resource for operational support on Microsoft marketplace onboarding tasks, including SaaSOps, SaaS LCM, and private offer management. Assist colleagues with inquiries, troubleshoot issues, and facilitate seamless processes.
- Internal Training and Enablement: Design and deliver training programs, workshops, and resources to educate internal stakeholders across various entities on the Microsoft Commercial Marketplace, enabling them to provide effective support to vendors and drive revenue growth.
- Microsoft Relationship Management: Build strong relationships with stakeholders within Microsoft and other relevant partners to stay updated on marketplace developments, advocate for vendor needs, and explore opportunities for collaboration and joint initiatives.
- Program Monitoring and Best Practices Advocacy: Stay informed about Microsoft programs and changes in marketplace policies, ensuring compliance and proactively adapting strategies to leverage new opportunities or address emerging challenges. Advocate for and implement best practices for marketplace success, including product optimization techniques, pricing strategies, and marketing approaches tailored to the Microsoft ecosystem.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Proven experience in software vendor management, cloud services, or technology sales, with a deep understanding of SaaS business models and the Microsoft ecosystem.
- Strong familiarity with the Microsoft Commercial Marketplace, including its technical requirements, listing procedures, and go-to-market strategies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels and influence cross-functional teams.
- Ability to interpret data, identify trends, and optimize performance metrics for vendors on the marketplace.
- Project management expertise, including the ability to prioritize tasks, manage timelines, and drive initiatives to successful completion.
- Preferred: Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator.
